Harry and
Sarah Johnson
This is where the store begins, with my Great Grandparents, Harry and Sarah
(Mitchell) Johnson. The family was living in Hudson, Lenawee Co.,
Michigan in 1883 when their son Harry Mitchell Johnson was born.
Both Sarah and Harry were put to rest in the old part of the Maple Grove
cemetery, in Hudson, Lenawee Co. Michigan, along with other family members.
The place and time of there births, and other dates are unknown at this
time.

Feb. 20, 1887,
Oswego, Kosciusko Co.Indiana d. May 14, 1980 daughter of William Wilson
and Viola Brown.

HUDSON Feb. 16 - Harry Mitchell Johnson, 69
years old, of 103 Park Street, Hudson, died at 12:05 a.m. Sunday in the
Rest Haven nursing home at Alvordton, Ohio. Mr. Johnson was born
in Hudson June 12, 1883, the son of Harry and Sarah Mitchell Johnson.
He spent part of his life in Williamston and in Indiana and returned to
Hudson to live eight years ago. Mr. Johnson was a veteran of the
Spanish-American war. He is survived by his widow, Edna: a daughter,
Miss Doris of Hudson: two sons, Harry Johnson Jr. of Williamston
and Robert of Quincy and seven grand children. The body is at the
Brown & Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson. The funeral will be held
at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. T. R. Dolson will officiate.
A Masonic service will be held at the grave. Burial will be
in Maple Grove Cemetery. The Lebanon lodge, F. & A.M. of Hudson,
will conduct the service.

Those from away to attended the funeral services for Harry M. Johnson
held at the Brown & Eagle Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon were Mrs.
Johnson’s brother, Lawrence Wilson of Everett, Washington, who will remain
here ten days, A/3c Richard Johnson, a grandson who has a 10 day leave
from Lowry A.F.B. in Denver, Colo., Mr. and Mrs. George Hendricks of Elkhart,
Ind., the two sons of Mr. and Mrs. Johnson and their wives. Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Johnson of Quincy and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Johnson Jr. and two
sons of Williamston, Mr. and Mrs. Phillips of Moscow, Mr. and Mrs.
Brough Robert of Perry, and Harold Near and
Kenneth Ban Antwerp of Adrian.
